Job summary

NET Recruit partners with a highly established defence business in Hampshire to recruit a Building Surveyor. You will join the property and infrastructure team to carry out surveys, identify defects, advise on remedial works, and support delivery across the project lifecycle.

The role requires knowledge of building regulations, strong reporting skills, and ability to work with contractors and clients. A relevant degree and professional accreditation are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in building surveying or closely related property, construction, or building maintenance role.
• Good understanding of building construction, property condition assessments, defects, and repair/refurbishment principles.
• Experience preparing technical reports and advising on remedial works would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out building surveys, inspections, and condition assessments across multiple properties.
• Identify defects, structural concerns, maintenance needs, and remedial work.
• Prepare survey reports, technical recommendations, and documentation with proposed solutions.
• Advise on maintenance, refurbishment, repair and improvement works.
• Support specifications, schedules of work, and tender documentation.
• Coordinate and monitor building projects from outset to completion.
• Inspect on-site for quality, progress, and standards compliance.
• Liaise with contractors, clients, PMs and consultants for project delivery.
