Job summary

Connect Legal Partners seeks a Building Surveyor to inspect and advise on design, construction, maintenance and refurbishment of buildings region-wide. You will perform surveys, drafting reports and specifications for works, and oversee projects under standard contracts with attention to safety and regulations.

The role requires a BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying and experience in defect diagnosis, reporting, and knowledge of CDM 2015, party wall, and building regulations.

Qualifications

• A BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying.
• Experience in defect diagnosis and report writing.
• Working knowledge of CDM 2015, party wall and building regulations.
• Insurance repair project experience is preferred.
• Good maths, IT and communication skills; able to meet deadlines and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Carry out acquisition surveys, condition reports, measured surveys and defect investigations with reports and specifications.

The firm

A national building surveying and engineering consultancy working on commercial, residential and insurance led projects.

The role

You will inspect and advise on the design, construction, maintenance, repair and refurbishment of buildings across your region. Work covers acquisition surveys, condition reports, measured surveys and defect investigations, with reports, schedules of work and specifications to follow. You will design and oversee works under recognised building contracts, applying health and safety, party wall and building regulations, and help promote the team and win new projects.

What you will need

A BSc (Hons) in building surveying, experience of defect diagnosis and report writing, and working knowledge of CDM 2015, party wall and building regulations. Insurance repair project experience is preferred. Good maths, IT and communication skills, and experience of working to deadlines and budgets.
