Job summary

Babcock International is offering a Building Surveying Graduate Programme based at HM Naval Base Clyde in Scotland. The two-year scheme blends site and office work, with rotations through building surveys, asset management, and project support.

You will gain technical knowledge, professional judgement and stakeholder management skills, with a clear path to Chartered Membership of MCIOB as you progress. Starting salary is at least £35,000 with progression as you complete the programme and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Building Surveying.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work at height and in confined spaces.
• Security clearance requirements (BPSS/SC) apply.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and assess buildings to support maintenance and improvements.
• Carry out building condition surveys and produce reports for asset management.
• Support refurbishment and capital projects, including snagging inspections.
• Develop proposals for larger works like roof replacements and upgrades.
• Work with maintenance teams, project specialists and customers.
