Job summary

Mitie seeks a Building Services Supervisor (Static) in Essex to lead mechanical and hard services across the County Hall complex, ensuring compliance, high safety standards, and efficient day-to-day operations.

You will manage engineers, oversee PPM and reactive works, act as Authorised Person for Low Voltage and other safety processes, and report on KPIs to drive continuous improvement and strong stakeholder relations.

Qualifications

• Relevant mechanical/building services engineering qualification.
• IOSH or NEBOSH Health & Safety qualification, with strong knowledge of compliance and risk management.
• Proven experience managing engineering teams, contractors, and maintenance operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of engineers, driving high performance and safety.
• Oversee planned preventative maintenance, reactive works, and small projects aligned with KPIs.
• Act as Authorised Person for Low Voltage, Working at Height and Hot Works, ensuring SSOW, RAMS and permits.
• Manage health and safety, site standards, asset performance and contractor activities, including audits and PPE compliance.
