Job summary

PRS is seeking a Building Services Maintenance Supervisor to join a large static site in Hatfield. The role oversees a small team of electrical and mechanical HVAC engineers, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and completing PPMs and reactive works.

The position is a days-based, Monday to Friday role offering a basic salary up to £50,000 per year plus a £4,800 annual on-call allowance, 23 days leave rising to 27 with service, and pension contributions up to 5%.

Qualifications

• Formal trade qualifications with an apprenticeship (electrical or mechanical).
• Experience in facilities maintenance.
• Supervisory / team leader experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a small team of electrical and mechanical HVAC engineers, providing technical support where necessary.
• Inspect completed PPMs and reactive works on building services plant.
• Compliance management, updating and checking site log books.
• Supervision of specialist sub-contractors when on site.
• Hands on when required on building services plant (lighting, emergency lighting, AHU/FCU).

Job description

Salary: £50,000 per annum basic plus £4,800 call out allowance

Opportunity for a building services maintenance supervisor to work client direct at a large static site in Hatfield. This is an ideal role for someone with an understanding of building services maintenance, compliance and health and safety management. This position is working days, Monday - Friday, paying a basic salary of up to £50,000 per annum, with benefits package and on call allowance of £4,800 per year on top.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee a small team of electrical and mechanical HVAC engineers, providing technical support where necessary.
• Inspecting of completed PPM's and reactive works on building services plant.
• Compliance management, updating and checking of site log books.
• Supervision of specialist sub-contractors when on site.
• Hands on when required on building services plant such as lighting, emergency lighting, AHU's, FCU's etc.

Qualifications/Experience required for this role:

• Formal trade qualifications, backed up by an apprenticeship, in either electrical or mechanical engineering such as City and Guilds or NVQ.
• Previous experience working in the facilities maintenance sector.
• Previous supervisory/team leader experience is highly desirable, however our client will consider experienced engineers that are looking for the opportunity to step up to a supervisory role.

On offer is a permanent position, paying a basic salary of up to £50,000 per annum. 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays (rising to a maximum of 27 days with services). On call requirement 1 week in 5. Matched pension contributions up to 5%.
