Job summary

Tilbury Douglas is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for our Building team in Stockton-on-Tees. You will own key commercial activities, protect project margins, manage subcontractor accounts and deliver robust cost control and reporting across the project lifecycle.

You will work with senior commercial staff and operational teams to support delivery, identify commercial risks and opportunities, and contribute to monthly financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience as Quantity Surveyor in a main contractor environment.
• Knowledge of measurement, valuation, and forms of contract.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaborative working within a project team.

Responsibilities

• Support commercial management including cost control, forecasting, and reporting
• Assist procurement and administration of subcontractor packages
• Manage valuations, variations, and applications for payment
• Contribute to monthly cost/value reconciliations and financial reporting
• Collaborate with operational teams to identify commercial risks and opportunities
