Job summary

Virtu Property is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Operative to join our residential property teams in Fareham. You will deliver planned and reactive maintenance across multiple sites, carrying out multi-skilled repairs, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

With a full UK driving licence and strong communication, you will work independently, using a company vehicle and fuel card to service properties efficiently. We offer a supportive academy and wide benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full, valid UK driving licence.
• Fluent English and professional communication.
• Competence in painting, decorating, carpentry and general repairs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality planned and reactive maintenance across residential and communal properties.
• Carry out multi-skilled repairs including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, decorating, and grounds maintenance tasks.
• Identify and report defects, safety concerns, and opportunities for remedial works.
• Ensure full compliance with health and safety procedures and company standards.
• Maintain accurate job records, service reports, and vehicle checks.
• Provide a professional, reliable service while working independently across multiple sites.

What You’ll Be Doing

What You Need To Succeed

• Holds a full, valid UK Driving Licence
• Fluent level of English; able to communicate effectively with customers, team members and other contractors professionally, as appropriate
• Competence in maintenance skills such as painting; decorating; carpentry; general repairs.
