Job summary

Virtu Property is hiring a hands-on maintenance technician to cover residential and communal properties in the Birmingham area. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, carry out multi-skilled repairs, and ensure safety and high standards across sites.

Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and be fluent in English. Training and development options are available, along with benefits such as healthcare, pension, and paid holiday.

Qualifications

• Full, valid UK driving licence.
• Fluent English with professional communication.
• Competence in painting, decorating, carpentry and general repairs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality planned and reactive maintenance across residential and communal properties.
• Carry out multi-skilled repairs including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, decorating and grounds maintenance.
• Identify and report defects, safety concerns, and remedial works.
• Ensure full health and safety compliance and company standards.
• Maintain accurate job records, service reports and vehicle checks.
• Provide professional, reliable service while working independently across multiple sites.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Deliver high-quality planned and reactive maintenance services across residential and communal properties.
• Carry out multi-skilled repairs including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, decorating, and grounds maintenance tasks.
• Identify and report defects, safety concerns, and opportunities for remedial works.
• Ensure full compliance with health and safety procedures and company standards.
• Maintain accurate job records, service reports, and vehicle checks.
• Provide a professional, reliable service while working independently across multiple sites.

What You Need To Succeed

• Holds a full, valid UK Driving Licence
• Fluent level of English; able to communicate effectively with customers, team members and other contractors professionally, as appropriate
• Competence in maintenance skills such as painting; decorating; carpentry; general repairs.
