Options Resourcing Ltd is seeking an experienced Fabric Engineer to join a site-based maintenance team in Birmingham. You will maintain building fabric across a range of systems, carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs, ensuring safety and high standards.

The role requires an apprenticeship to City & Guilds, 3+ years' experience, and the ability to work independently and with others. A full UK driving licence and DBS check are expected, with opportunities for training.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship in a maintenance or engineering discipline to City & Guilds level.
• 3+ years post-apprenticeship maintenance experience.
• Strong practical knowledge of building fabric maintenance.
• Experience with fire doors, passive fire protection, drainage, cladding, roofing and joinery.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Flexible hours and ability to cover other sites.

Responsabilités

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across building fabric systems.
• Inspect, maintain and repair fire doors and passive fire protection systems.
• Undertake maintenance and repairs to drainage systems.
• Carry out inspections and repairs to cladding and roofing systems.
• Complete general joinery repairs and other building fabric maintenance tasks.
• Diagnose faults, identify defects and recommend remedial works.
• Assist with minor installations, upgrades and site projects.
• Maintain maintenance records and reports.
