Job summary

Equans is seeking a Fabric Engineer in Smethwick to join our facilities team on a major hospital contract. The role covers complex fabric systems, including fire doors, passive fire protection, drainage, cladding and roof work, plus joinery repairs.

You will perform diagnostic, fault finding and repairs on reactive jobs and carry out planned preventive maintenance across the site. Applicants should have a recognised engineering apprenticeship to City & Guilds level and prior maintenance

Qualifications

• Recognised apprenticeship in engineering to City & Guilds level.
• Maintenance environment experience.
• Knowledge of fabric systems (fire doors, passive fire protection, drainage, cladding, roof systems, joinery).
• DBS Standard check is essential.

Responsibilities

• Work on complex fabric systems (fire doors, passive fire protection, drainage, cladding, roof systems, joinery).
• Respond to reactive jobs with diagnostic, fault finding and repair.
• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance across site per programme.
• Obtain Competent Person status for systems such as confined spaces and working at height.
