Job summary
Gold Group is seeking a skilled Fabric Engineer for a prominent Facilities Management organisation in Smethwick. The role requires a recognised apprenticeship to City & Guilds level and prior maintenance experience.
You will manage complex fabric systems, including fire doors and cladding, ensuring safe and compliant operations. Role involves proactive maintenance, responding to faults, and carrying out planned maintenance across the site.
Qualifications
- Experience in maintenance environments and hands-on fabric systems.
- Strong knowledge of complex fabric systems such as fire doors, passive fire protection, drainage, cladding and roof systems.
- City & Guilds level apprenticeship completed.
Responsibilities
- Work on complex fabric systems including fire doors, passive fire protection, drainage, cladding and roof systems.
- Respond to reactive jobs with diagnostic, fault finding and repair to fabric systems in line with standards and procedures.
- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance across site in accordance with the PPM programme.
