Job summary
RG Setsquare is recruiting an experienced Fabric Engineer to join a busy healthcare environment in Birmingham. You will be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of the building fabric, ensuring the site remains safe, compliant and well maintained.
The role covers fire doors, drainage, cladding and roofing, with 40 hours per week and a £35,000 per annum salary. DBS check is required and training may be provided for Competent Person status.
Qualifications
- Practical experience in building fabric maintenance.
- Understanding of health and safety requirements.
- Experience with general joinery, drainage, roofing and fire protection systems.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance across the building fabric.
- Respond to reactive maintenance requests with fault finding and repairs.
- Maintain fire doors and passive fire protection; inspect drainage, cladding and roofing.
- Complete maintenance to ensure compliance and safe working practices.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and assist in training for Competent Person status.
