Job summary

Anchor Hanover Group's Moore Place Esher is seeking a Catering Assistant to help prepare and serve nutritious meals within a supportive team. The role emphasizes following health and hygiene standards and working efficiently in a kitchen environment.

You will assist with meal preparation, maintain COSHH and safety practices, and support the team in minimising waste. Level 2 Food Safety or willingness to obtain it is required or encouraged.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH procedures.
• Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment.
• Experience working with older people (ideal, but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and service of nutritious, well-presented meals.
• Ensuring all health, safety, and hygiene standards are followed to the highest level.
• Helping minimise waste and using kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Supporting the catering team and communicating any issues promptly.
