Job summary

Anchor Hanover Group is seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant to support the preparation and service of nutritious meals for residents. You will help maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety, minimise waste, and assist the team with day-to-day kitchen activities.

The role requires basic catering experience or willingness to obtain Level 2 Food Safety, and a practical understanding of Health & Safety and COSHH procedures.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH procedures.
• Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment.
• Experience working with older people (ideal, but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and service of nutritious, well-presented meals.
• Ensuring all health, safety, and hygiene standards are followed to the highest level.
• Helping minimise waste and using kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Supporting the catering team and communicating any issues promptly.
