MHB Consultants in Glasgow is seeking an engineer to design, analyze, and manage engineering projects independently, collaborating with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.

You will have opportunities in client liaison and project management, including time and budget control, with CPD towards Incorporated or Chartered status.

The role involves delivering technically sound solutions across rail, transport, and civil sectors while ensuring design and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from ICE/IStructE accredited course.
• Typically 3–5 years of experience in a relevant discipline.
• Demonstrate commitment to undertake continuous professional development towards Incorporated or Chartered Engineering status.
• Evidence of continuous professional development progress towards Incorporated or Chartered Engineering status.

Responsabilités

• Undertake preliminary and detailed designs for engineering projects
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports
• Perform structural analysis and ensure compliance with engineering standards
• Assist in fee/tender proposals
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
• Conduct site visits and inspections
• Ensure compliance with design and safety standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and manage timelines
• Provide technical support to junior engineers
