Job summary

Vision for Education is seeking Learning Support Assistants to work across primary schools in Brentwood and the surrounding areas. You will support pupils on a one-to-one or small-group basis, helping them engage with activities and progress in a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

The role requires caring, enthusiastic individuals who can build positive relationships with pupils and staff, and who are committed to safeguarding and supporting children's development.

Qualifications

• Experience in school or childcare preferred.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with learning on a one-to-one or small-group basis
• Helping children engage with classroom activities
• Supporting pupils' social, emotional and educational development
• Working with the class teacher to meet individual learning needs
• Encouraging positive behaviour and classroom participation
• Providing support during lessons, break times and other activities
• Helping create a safe, welcoming and inclusive classroom environment
