Knekt Hub Ltd in Faringdon, Oxfordshire, seeks a Breakfast Chef for a 4-star, 2 AA Rosette inn. You will lead breakfast service, prepare fresh, seasonal dishes, and support lunch service when needed.
The role offers daytime shifts from roughly 6:30am to 3:00pm, no evening work, and a pattern that can be adjusted for the right candidate. Salary is £30,000–£32,000 per year with a focus on quality ingredients and a friendly kitchen culture.
£30,000–£32,000 | Daytime Hours | No Evenings | Approx. 6:30am–3:00pm | Flexible Working Pattern
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Breakfast Chef to join the kitchen team at a highly regarded 4-star, 2 AA Rosette coaching inn in Faringdon.
This is particularly attractive for a chef looking to move away from late finishes while still working with fresh, quality produce in an established hospitality environment.
This historic coaching inn combines 14 individually designed bedrooms with an award-winning restaurant, traditional pub and wine and cocktail bar. The kitchen focuses on fresh, seasonal produce, with menus built around quality British ingredients and local suppliers.
The Breakfast Chef will take responsibility for breakfast service before supporting preparation and lunch service where required.
Breakfast service runs Monday–Friday 7:30am–10:00am and Saturday–Sunday 8:30am–11:00am.
This would suit a Breakfast Chef, Chef de Partie or experienced breakfast cook who is comfortable working independently and maintaining strong standards during a busy breakfast service. Experience in fresh-food hotels, restaurants, inns or quality gastropubs would be particularly relevant.
The major attraction is the working pattern. It offers a genuine chef role within a 2 AA Rosette operation without the usual evening finishes, making it a strong option for somebody looking for a better lifestyle without leaving quality hospitality behind.
