Job summary

Cornwall Staff Agency Ltd is recruiting a Breakfast Chef in Falmouth to join a luxury hotel and restaurant, delivering high-quality breakfast to guests. You will work 5 days per week, shift 5:30am–1:30pm, with the potential to do evenings.

Offered pay is £14–£16 per hour depending on experience, with on-site parking and retention bonuses. Ideal candidates will have breakfast chef experience in a quality establishment and food hygiene certification is desirable.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Breakfast Chef, Chef de Partie, or Commis Chef in a quality hotel or restaurant.
• Able to work independently and manage a busy morning service.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Passionate about fresh food and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to start work at 5:30am.
• Food Hygiene certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking a high-quality breakfast service, including cooked-to-order and buffet items.
• Ensuring all dishes are presented to the highest standards.
• Organising and setting up the kitchen ready for service.
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene and food safety standards.
• Managing stock levels, stock rotation, and minimising food waste.
• Preparing ingredients and completing daily mise en place.
• Working efficiently during busy service periods.
• Supporting the wider kitchen team with preparation for later services when required.
• Ensuring all equipment is used safely and kept clean.
• Following all health & safety and HACCP procedures.

Location: Falmouth
Role: Breakfast Chef
Hours: 5 days per week
