Qualifications

• Experience as breakfast chef in a hotel environment.

• Experience in stock monitoring and ordering is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high-quality breakfast service for ~50 guests, maintaining kitchen standards.
• Prepare and plate high-quality plated breakfasts.
• Own the breakfast service to ensure consistent, timely delivery.
• Monitor stock levels; assist with ordering and stocktaking; minimise waste.
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with HACCP and food safety standards.
• Complete opening/closing kitchen checklists.
• Support main kitchen with lunch/dinner service, or room service when required.
• Ensure all food is prepared and presented to a high standard.
• Work with the wider kitchen team to maintain smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• As Breakfast Chef, you'll take responsibility for delivering a high-quality breakfast service while maintaining excellent kitchen standards.
• Prepare and serve high-quality plated breakfasts for approximately 50 guests
• Take ownership of the breakfast service, ensuring dishes are delivered consistently and efficiently
• Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering and stocktaking, and minimise food waste
• Maintain excellent cleanliness and comply with HACCP and food safety regulations
• Complete kitchen opening and closing checklists
• Support the main kitchen with preparation, lunch and dinner service, or room service orders when required
• Ensure all food is prepared and presented to an excellent standard
• Work closely with the wider kitchen team to maintain smooth daily operations

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a breakfast chef within a hotel environment
• Confidence working independently and preparing plated breakfasts for around 50 guests
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in food presentation
• A good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
• The ability to manage time effectively during busy breakfast services
• A flexible approach and willingness to support the wider kitchen team when needed
• Experience as a Chef De Partie would be advantageous
