Cornwall Staff Agency Limited is recruiting a Breakfast Chef for a small luxury hotel and restaurant in Falmouth. The role involves preparing a high-quality breakfast, managing a busy morning service, and maintaining HACCP standards in a professional kitchen.

The successful candidate will start at 5:30am, work with the kitchen team, and contribute to guest satisfaction in a luxury hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Breakfast Chef, Chef de Partie, or Commis Chef in a quality hotel/restaurant.
• Able to work independently and manage a busy morning service.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Passionate about fresh food and guest experiences.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to start at 5:30am.
• Food Hygiene certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking a high-quality breakfast service, including cooked-to-order and buffet items.
• Ensuring all dishes are presented to the highest standards.
• Organising and setting up the kitchen ready for service.
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene and food safety standards.
• Managing stock levels, stock rotation, and minimising food waste.
• Preparing ingredients and completing daily mise en place.
• Working efficiently during busy service periods.
• Supporting the wider kitchen team with preparation for later services when required.
• Ensuring all equipment is used safely and kept clean.
• Following all health & safety and HACCP procedures.

Role: Breakfast Chef

Shift: 5:30am - 1:30pm with potential to work evenings as well
