Job summary

Motel One Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a motivated F&B Assistant to greet guests and start their day with a smile during breakfast service.

You will prepare and set up the breakfast buffet, provide a seamless, rapid service, and help organise the bar operations in cooperation with the department manager.

As part of our multicultural team, you will gain interdepartmental insights, enjoy staff discounts across Europe and the USA, and benefit from extensive onboarding and ongoing trainings.

Qualifications

• Have completed an apprenticeship in the hotel trade and/or have professional experience in the hotel / catering industry.
• Be open and communicative and have hosting skills, as well as a passion for the hotel industry
• Be flexible and creative and have an excellent sense of quality, even in stressful situations
• Be a team player and willing to provide assistance across departments – we achieve our results together

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up the breakfast buffet.
• Provide seamless, rapid service and implement the One Smile concept.
• Assist with bar service planning and maintain standards and schedules with the department manager.
• Provide advice to customers and actively selling Motel One Lounge products to achieve the One Lounge sales budget.
• Help to order food, beverages and spirits for the bar areas and take inventory at month end.
• Gain interdepartmental insights into new areas of activity by working in our multicultural teams
