Job summary

Motel One Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a motivated F&B Assistant to greet guests and start their day with a smile during breakfast service.

You will prepare and set up the breakfast buffet, provide a seamless, rapid service, and help organise the bar operations in cooperation with the department manager.

As part of our multicultural team, you will gain interdepartmental insights, enjoy staff discounts across Europe and the USA, and benefit from extensive onboarding and ongoing trainings.

Qualifications

• Have completed an apprenticeship in the hotel trade and/or have professional experience in the hotel / catering industry.
• Be open and communicative and have hosting skills, as well as a passion for the hotel industry
• Be flexible and creative and have an excellent sense of quality, even in stressful situations
• Be a team player and willing to provide assistance across departments – we achieve our results together

Responsibilities

• Provide advice to customers and actively selling Motel One Lounge products to achieve the One Lounge sales budget.

You provide our guests with a wonderful start to their day with your smile and service during breakfast. Your will also be responsible for:

• Preparation & set-up of the breakfast buffet
• Providing a seamless, rapid service and implementing the Motel One breakfast concept “One Smile”
• Cross-departmental insights into new areas of activity through
• Gaining interdepartmental insights into new areas of activity by working in our multicultural teams

Thanks to your hosting skills, our guests will enjoy a wonderful stay. As well as tending the bar and One Lounge, your duties will also include the following:

• Providing a seamless, rapid service
• Helping to organise the bar service and determine all the necessary standards and schedules in cooperation with the department manager
• Providing advice to customers and actively selling Motel One Lounge products in order to achieve the One Lounge sales budget
• Helping to order food, beverages and spirits for the bar areas and take inventory at the end of the month
• Gaining interdepartmental insights into new areas of activity by working in our multicultural teams
