Motel One Germany BetriebsGmbH in Lewes is seeking a motivated Breakfast and Bar Assistant (Full-time) to join our team. This role covers breakfast prep, buffet management, kitchen porter tasks, table clearance and hosting guests.

You will handle cash and card payments, support bar service, and help with inventory while maintaining high hygiene and service standards. Flexibility, teamwork and a guest‑oriented approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Completed an apprenticeship in the hotel trade and/or hotel/catering experience.

Responsibilities

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and versatile Breakfast and Bar Assistant (Full-time) to join our team. This is not a typical waiter/waitress role-our assistant performs a variety of all-round duties, including food preparation, buffet management, kitchen porter tasks, table clearance and cleaning, hosting guests, and supporting bar service. Flexibility and a willingness to cover all these areas are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast items, including baking bakery products and warm food daily for the buffet in the oven
• Refill the buffet according to daily demand
• Assist with kitchen porter duties including cleaning and dishwashing
• Clear and clean tables promptly to maintain a tidy dining area
• Provide excellent hosting skills by greeting and assisting customers warmly
• Handle cash and credit card payments accurately and efficiently
• Support bar service including preparing drinks and maintaining cleanliness
• Open and close shifts according to operational procedures
• Assist with inventory management and restocking as needed
• Maintain hygiene and safety standards throughout your shift
