Lancaster Gate Hotel is seeking a motivated Breakfast and Bar Assistant (Full-time) to join our team. This role covers breakfast prep, buffet management, bar service, hosting guests and general hotel support.

You will be essential in maintaining a welcoming dining area and ensuring smooth operations across departments. The ideal candidate has hospitality experience, excellent hosting skills, and a flexible approach to cover all duties from kitchen porter tasks to cash handling.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or experience in hotel/catering is preferred.
• Strong hosting and guest service mindset required.
• Flexible and team-oriented, able to support multiple hotel areas.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast items for the daily buffet.
• Refill buffet according to demand.
• Assist with kitchen porter duties including cleaning and dishwashing.
• Clear and clean tables promptly to maintain a tidy dining area.
• Provide hosting by greeting and assisting guests warmly.
• Handle cash and card payments accurately.
• Support bar service including drinks and cleanliness.
• Open and close shifts according to procedures.
• Assist with inventory management and restocking.
• Maintain hygiene and safety standards throughout shifts.
