Job summary

Jewson in Prudhoe (NE42 6PQ) is hiring a Branch Manager to lead a busy team and drive business performance. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday with Saturdays on a rota, offering a dynamic workplace where ideas are celebrated and collaboration is valued.

You will coach staff, manage stock, build relationships with customers and suppliers, and ensure outstanding service while keeping health and safety at the forefront.

We are recruiting for a Branch Manager, to join our thriving Jewson branch in Prudhoe (NE42 6PQ)

This is afull-time role working Monday-Friday7:30-17:00, and every other Saturdayfrom08:00-12:00.

The branch forms part of a local cluster of branches alongside Hexham, Morpeth and Consett, giving you the opportunity to work closely with neighbouring teams, share best practice and support customers across the wider area.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and motivate your team, providing coaching and support to help everyone perform at their best and identify opportunities to improve.
• Work closely with the wider network to understand and respond to customer needs and support wider business activity.
• Deliver an excellent customer experience by adapting our service to meet changing customer needs and expectations.
• Build strong relationships with customers, both new and existing, taking the time to understand their requirements and providing proactive advice and solutions.
• Develop strong supplier relationships to ensure we have the right products and support available for our customers.
• Understand your local market, identifying opportunities to grow sales and strengthen our position in the area.
• Manage stock effectively, ensuring accurate stock levels and carrying out regular stock checks and counts.
• Champion Health & Safety, leading by example and ensuring your team understands how to keep themselves and others safe at work.
• Support the overall success of the branch, balancing great customer service, commercial performance and effective team leadership.
