Job summary

Jewson in Hoddesdon is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to lead a busy branch and deliver outstanding service to customers daily. You will work closely with the Branch Manager to coach the team, optimise stock levels, and ensure efficient order processing and delivery coordination.

The role emphasises Health and Safety, customer care, and local market knowledge, with opportunities for career growth, a discretionary bonus, staff discounts, life assurance, and generous holiday entitlement.

Responsibilities

• Act as first line support to the Branch Manager to lead and support the team to deliver success.
• Get to know our product lines and services in order to make the most of all customer interactions.
• Develop great relationships with new and existing Customers (both face to face and over the phone), understanding their needs and providing proactive advice and solutions so that you can deliver the best experience possible.
• Get to know the local market to support plans for sales growth.
• Use our in-house systems to process customer orders, organise delivery times, and keep customers updated throughout their journey.
• Maintain stock levels, carrying out regular stock counts.
• Lead your team to make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and others safe at work.

Jewson is a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is on the hunt for an Assistant Branch Manager who's as passionate about great service as we are.

Hours

7:00am - 16:30pm or 7:30am to 17:00pm Monday to Friday and every other Saturday morning 8am-12pm.

Location

Jewson, Essex Rd, Hoddesdon, EN11 0BX.

Key Responsibilities
