Job summary

Nationwide is hiring a Customer Representative for our Easingwold branch. You will support customers in person, on the phone, and online, handling everyday transactions and guiding them to suitable banking services and digital tools. The role is a 12-month fixed-term contract, full-time (35 hours weekly) with a 45-minute commute to the branch.

You’ll join a team that values fairer finances and community impact, with training designed for success and ongoing development opportunities.

Qualifications

• You don’t need banking experience, but a passion for customer service helps you thrive.
• You’ll need to communicate clearly and adapt to busy or complex situations.
• You stay calm, patient and empathetic, with strong people skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers into the branch and understand their needs to offer trusted help with banking.
• Handle a range of transactions and queries accurately, prioritising security and fairness.
• Guide customers through banking products and services that fit their needs.
• Work with colleagues in a busy branch to deliver excellent customer service even at peak times.
• Follow processes, spot issues, and escalate concerns to protect customers and Nationwide.
• Keep face-to-face banking meaningful and accessible on the high street.
