Job summary

LBS Builders Merchants in Pembrokeshire (West Wales) is seeking a Branch Assistant to help customers in person and over the phone, pick and prepare orders, and keep the yard and shop floor tidy.

You will assist with deliveries, stock transfers and displays, with forklift training available. Prior retail/warehouse experience is a plus; opportunities for development and staff benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Reliable and flexible to support across tasks.

• Experience in retail, trade or warehouse is a plus.
• Forklift licence desirable; training available.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-class service to customers in person and over the phone.
• Accurately pick and prepare orders for deliveries, collections and stock transfers.
• Load vehicles on the yard and store goods safely.
• Maintain stock levels, replenish shelves and keep displays tidy.
• Support sales by processing transactions and handling paperwork.
• Handle supplier deliveries and check quality/quantity of goods.
• Keep branch, yard and warehouse safe, clean, and organised.
• Operate forklifts safely (training provided if required).
