Job summary

LBS Builders Merchants Ltd in Wales is seeking a Branch Assistant to join our busy team and help run the branch with a focus on customer service and efficient stock handling.

You will assist customers in person and over the phone, pick and prepare orders for deliveries, and keep displays neat. Forklift licence is desirable with training available; hours average 43.25 per week, Monday to Friday, plus some Saturday mornings.

Qualifications

• Friendly, hardworking, and customer-focused approach.

• Reliable and flexible to cover varying tasks in a busy branch.
• Previous experience in retail, trade, or warehouse roles is a plus (but not essential).
• Forklift licence desirable; training is available.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-class service to every customer, in person and over the phone.
• Accurately pick and prepare orders for deliveries, collections, and stock transfers.
• Loading vehicles on the yard and ensure goods are stored safely.
• Maintain stock levels, replenish shelves, and keep displays well-presented.
• Support with sales by processing transactions, raising paperwork, and forwarding leads.
• Handle supplier deliveries, checking quality and quantity of goods.
• Keep the branch, yard, and warehouse safe, clean, and well-organised.
