Job summary

LBS Builders Merchants in Pembrokeshire (West Wales) is seeking a Branch Assistant to help customers in person and over the phone, pick and prepare orders, and keep the yard and shop floor tidy.

You will assist with deliveries, stock transfers and displays, with forklift training available. Prior retail/warehouse experience is a plus; opportunities for development and staff benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

• Maintain stock levels, replenish shelves and keep displays tidy.
• Support sales by processing transactions and handling paperwork.
• Handle supplier deliveries and check quality/quantity of goods.
• Keep branch, yard and warehouse safe, clean, and organised.
• Operate forklifts safely (training provided if required).

Location: West - Covering Pembrokeshire and Aberystwyth

Are you friendly, hardworking, and customer-focused? We're looking for a Branch Assistant to join our busy team. This is a hands-on role where you'll play a key part in delivering excellent service to our customers while keeping the branch running smoothly.

What You'll Do:

• Provide first-class service to every customer, in person and over the phone.
• Accurately pick and prepare orders for deliveries, collections, and stock transfers.
• Loading vehicles on the yard and ensure goods are stored safely.
• Maintain stock levels, replenish shelves, and keep displays well-presented.
• Support with sales by processing transactions, raising paperwork, and forwarding leads.
• Handle supplier deliveries, checking quality and quantity of goods.
• Keep the branch, yard, and warehouse safe, clean, and well organised.
• Operate forklifts safely (training provided if required).

Hours of work: An average of 43.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7.30am - 4.30pm, plus every other Saturday morning from 8.00am until 12.00pm.

Salary: Dependant on experience
