Job summary

LBS Builders Merchants Ltd is seeking a Branch Assistant at the Total Plumbing Llantrisant branch to deliver friendly, hands-on customer service and ensure smooth branch operations.

You will be involved in picking and preparing orders, supporting sales, handling deliveries and stock transfers, and maintaining stock, displays, and safety in the yard and warehouse. Forklift training is provided if required.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Positive, can-do attitude with attention to detail.
• Reliable and flexible to support across tasks.
• Team player in a fast-paced environment.
• Retail, trade or warehouse experience is a plus.
• Forklift licence desirable; training is available.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-class service to customers in person and over the phone.
• Accurately pick and prepare orders for deliveries, collections, and stock transfers.
• Load vehicles and ensure goods are stored safely.
• Maintain stock levels and keep displays well-presented.
• Support sales by processing transactions and handling paperwork.
• Coordinate supplier deliveries and check goods quality.
• Keep branch, yard and warehouse safe, clean and organised.
• Operate forklifts safely (training provided).
