Job summary

ESS (Equipment, Safety, and Services) is hiring a Branch Assistant to join our fast-paced team. You will greet customers face-to-face, take calls and emails, process orders and returns, and help test and inspect equipment on site.

The role requires a real team player who enjoys variety, works well under pressure, has an interest in tools and machinery, and holds a full driving licence to cover deliveries when needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills and ability to handle customers.
• Team player with willingness to help others.
• Ability to work at pace in a busy environment.
• Interest in tools and machinery.
• Basic knowledge of equipment safety and eagerness to learn.
• Full driving licence and knowledge of the local area.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for customers and colleagues alike.
• Responsible for appropriate branch presentation.
• Ensure all kit is stored correctly and easily accessible.
• Ensure vehicles are loaded safely and in line with procedures.
• Carry out daily compliance and H&S checks as directed.
• Assist with stock takes and cover deliveries/collections when needed.
