Williams Trade Supplies Holdings Limited in Bedford is seeking a Branch Assistant to join our busy, trade-focused team. You will serve customers at the counter, help with warehouse duties, and occasionally deliver to local trades customers, while supporting administrative tasks.

The role offers a full-time schedule from 7am to 5pm, with the potential for career development within a leading plumbing and heating merchant. A driving licence is beneficial for local deliveries.

Qualifications

• Experience in plumbing and heating merchants or similar trades is advantageous.
• Customer service oriented and able to work in a busy trade counter environment.
• Willingness to assist with warehouse duties and deliveries when required.

Responsibilities

• Serving on the trade counter and handling enquiries.
• Accurately picking orders for delivery.
• Receiving, checking and storing incoming goods.
• Assisting with general branch upkeep.
• Delivering products to trades customers in the local area (driving licence required).
• Maintaining warehouse stock rotation and housekeeping.
• Providing administrative support across the branch.

Here at Williams, an independent trade-only plumbing and heating merchant, we're looking for a Branch Assistant to join our busy and friendly team in Bedford!

This is a varied and active role which includes: serving customers on the trade counter, assisting with warehouse duties, occasionally carrying out deliveries in the local area, and administrative support.

If you also have previous exposure of working within a plumbing and heating merchants, builders' merchants or wholesaler, trade counter, DIY, Hardware, or on the tools in the plumbing and heating trade, we would LOVE to hear from you!

As our Branch Assistant, you'll be:

• Serving on the trade counter and handling incoming enquiries.
• Accurately picking orders in preparation for delivery.
• Receiving, checking and storing incoming goods.
• Assisting with the general upkeep of the branch.
• Delivering plumbing and heating products to our trades customers in the local area (subject to holding driving licence).
• Maintaining the warehouse, including stock rotation and general housekeeping.
• Administrative support for all areas of the branch.
