Job summary

Epwin Group PLC is seeking a Branch Assistant in Bridgend to support daily counter and warehouse operations with a strong customer focus. A full valid driving license is essential; forklift training can be provided if not held.

The role involves teamwork, health and safety responsibilities, and assisting with deliveries to help meet branch targets. Training will be provided to develop product knowledge and IT skills.

Qualifications

• Friendly, welcoming attitude and energy to deliver customer requirements.
• Versatile and prepared to assist in all aspects of running the branch.
• Must have a full valid driving license. Forklift license preferable, training provided if not.
• Previous driving experience would be advantageous.
• Good organisational skills and IT literacy.
• Experience in a trade counter environment is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Work with the team to provide excellent customer service.
• Help maintain high standards in the trade counter area and warehouse.
• Be part of a small team with a can-do/will-do attitude.
• Assist with health and safety compliance.
• Be competent with multi-drop deliveries.
• Collaborate with Branch Manager to hit branch targets.
• Provide cover in the branch when required.

HOURS: Mon-Fri 07:30-16:30 and alt Sat 07:00-11:00

The role of a Branch Assistant:

• Works together with the team to provide excellent customer service.
• Help maintain high standards within the trade counter area and warehouse.
• Has a can-do/will-do attitude and able to work within a small team.
• Assist with health and safety compliance.
• Is competent with multi-drop deliveries.
• Work with the Branch Manager and the rest of the team to achieve branch performance targets.
• Provide cover in the branch when required.

Our ideal Branch Assistant:

• Will have a friendly, welcoming attitude and have energy and passion that is required to deliver what our customers require.
• Be versatile and prepared to assist in all aspects of running the branch.
• Must have a full valid driving license. A forklift truck license would be preferable but if not, training will be provided.
• Previous experience in a driving role would be advantageous.
• Good organisational skills and be IT literate.
• Experience in a trade counter environment would be preferred but not essential as the right attitude and drive will overcome any lack of this experience. Full training will be provided
