Job summary

Hydraquip Hose & Hydraulics is recruiting for a friendly, customer‑facing Trade Counter Assistant to join our UK branch. You will handle customer enquiries by phone, email and in person, process quotations and orders, and assist with stock handling and basic workshop tasks. A proactive, team‑oriented approach and good communication are essential.

The role offers full training, opportunities for development and a friendly, supportive environment in a flagship hose and hydraulics specialist.

Qualifications

• Experience in trade counter or customer service is desirable.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to work well in a small team.

Responsibilities

• Serving customers at the trade counter and by phone/email.
• Processing orders, quotations and customer enquiries.
• Picking, packing and receipting stock.
• Assisting with hose assembly and basic workshop tasks.
• Supporting stock control and branch administration.
• Promoting Hydraquip products and services.
• Maintaining a safe, organised branch environment.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Serving customers at the trade counter and by phone/email
• Processing orders, quotations and customer enquiries

• Assisting with hose assembly and basic workshop tasks
• Supporting stock control and branch administration, with scope to take ownership as the role develops
• Promoting Hydraquip products and services where appropriate
• Maintaining a safe, organised branch environment in line with H&S standards
