Job summary

Watton Recruitment Ltd in Sandy is seeking a Brake Press Operator to set up and operate CNC Press Brake machines to bend and form metal components to engineering specs. The role includes reading drawings, interpreting schematics, and maintaining quality standards.

The position offers a permanent contract with night shift Mon-Thu 16:00–02:00 and a day shift Mon-Fri 7:30–16:00. Experience with Amada machinery and strong safety practices are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Set up and safely operate CNC Press Brake machines to manufacture metal components to required specifications.
• Technical Compliance: Interpret and work accurately from engineering drawings and technical schematics.
• Material Handling: Load and unload raw materials and finished components onto and off machinery safely.
• Quality Control: Perform checks to ensure precision and adherence to quality standards.
• Maintenance & Housekeeping: Conduct routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Production Scheduling: Follow job schedules to meet production deadlines.

Job description

Our client based in Sandy are looking for a Brake Press Operator on a permanent basis. There is a night shift which the hours of work are Monday - Thursday 1600 to 02.00. They also have a day shft which is 7.30am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday.

Job Purpose

The Brake Press Operator is responsible for setting up and operating CNC Press Brakes to accurately bend, shape, and form metal components in accordance with engineering specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Set up and safely operate CNC Press Brake machines to manufacture metal components to required specifications.
• Technical Compliance: Interpret and work accurately directly from engineering drawings and technical schematics.
• Material Handling: Load and unload raw materials and finished components onto and off machinery safely.
