Job summary

Andrews Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator for a permanent night shift in the Harlow area. You will set up and operate press brakes, read drawings, and produce accurate sheet-metal components to specification.

You will perform routine checks, select tooling, and maintain production records while upholding strict health and safety standards. Experience with Amada/Trumpf/Bystronic CNC presses is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous press brake operating experience.
• Sheet-metal or fabrication background.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret tolerances.
• Experience with Amada/Trumpf/Bystronic CNC press brakes is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate press brake machinery to produce components.
• Produce sheet-metal parts from engineering drawings with accuracy.
• Carry out machine set-up and adjustments.
• Check dimensions and finished parts for quality and tolerances.
• Work to drawings and maintain production records.
• Select correct tooling and perform routine machine checks.
• Identify production or quality issues and escalate as needed.
• Maintain high Health & Safety standards on the shop floor.
• Collaborate with supervisors and wider manufacturing teams.

Are you an experienced Press Brake Operator looking for a stable night-shift position within a busy manufacturing environment?

We are recruiting for an experienced operator to support sheet-metal production, producing accurate components to specification while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

The Role

• Set and operate press brake machinery
• Produce sheet-metal components from drawings
• Carry out machine set-up and adjustments
• Check dimensions and finished-component quality
• Work accurately to engineering drawings
• Select appropriate tooling
• Carry out routine machine checks
• Identify production or quality issues
• Maintain accurate production records
• Work closely with supervisors and wider manufacturing teams
• Maintain strong Health & Safety standards
