Job summary

Andrews Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator for a permanent night-shift role in Harlow, Essex. The successful candidate will set up and operate press brake machinery, reading engineering drawings to produce sheet-metal components to tight tolerances.

You will carry out machine set-up, adjustments, and routine checks while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Experience with Amada, Trumpf, or Bystronic equipment is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience operating press brake machinery.
• Background in sheet-metal fabrication or similar.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong measurement and inspection skills.
• Good understanding of tolerances and precision requirements.

Shift: Nights
Salary: Competitive + Night Shift Premium

Are you an experienced Press Brake Operator looking for a stable night-shift position within a busy manufacturing environment?

We are recruiting for an experienced operator to support sheet-metal production, producing accurate components to specification while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

The Role

• Set and operate press brake machinery
• Produce sheet-metal components from drawings
• Carry out machine set-up and adjustments
• Check dimensions and finished-component quality
• Work accurately to engineering drawings
• Select appropriate tooling
• Carry out routine machine checks
• Identify production or quality issues
• Maintain accurate production records
• Work closely with supervisors and wider manufacturing teams
• Maintain strong Health & Safety standards

What We’re Looking For

• Previous press brake operating experience
• Sheet-metal or fabrication background
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Strong measurement and inspection skills
• Good understanding of tolerances
• Comfortable working permanent nights
• Reliable and quality-focused approach

Experience with Amada, Trumpf, Bystronic or similar CNC press brake equipment would be advantageous
