Job summary

Andrews Recruitment Group is seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator for permanent night shift in Harlow, Essex. You will set and operate press brake machinery, produce sheet-metal components from drawings, and ensure parts meet specifications with quality and safety in mind.

The role requires experience with CNC press brakes (Amada/Trumpf/Bystronic or similar), strong measurement skills, and the ability to read engineering drawings. Nights availability is essential.

Qualifications

Are you an experienced Press Brake Operator looking for a stable night-shift position within a busy manufacturing environment?

We are recruiting for an experienced operator to support sheet-metal production, producing accurate components to specification while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

The Role

• Set and operate press brake machinery
• Produce sheet-metal components from drawings
• Carry out machine set-up and adjustments
• Check dimensions and finished-component quality
• Work accurately to engineering drawings
• Select appropriate tooling
• Carry out routine machine checks
• Identify production or quality issues
• Maintain accurate production records
• Work closely with supervisors and wider manufacturing teams
• Maintain strong Health & Safety standards

What We’re Looking For

• Previous press brake operating experience
• Sheet-metal or fabrication background
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Strong measurement and inspection skills
• Good understanding of tolerances
• Comfortable working permanent nights
• Reliable and quality-focused approach

Experience with Amada, Trumpf, Bystronic or similar CNC press brake equipment would be advantageous
