Job summary

Watton Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Brake Press Operator for our Sandy, UK client on a permanent basis. You will set up and operate CNC Press Brakes, following engineering drawings and quality specs. Shift: Monday-Thursday 16:00 to 02:00.

Experience with Amada machinery is preferred. The role requires accuracy, safety focus and the ability to work to production schedules within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in CNC Press Brake setting and operation (Amada preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
• Hands-on manufacturing problem-solving skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail; committed to safety.

Our client based in Sandy are looking for a Brake Press Operator on a permanent basis. The hours of work are Monday - Thursday 1600 to 02.00

Job Purpose

The Brake Press Operator is responsible for setting up and operating CNC Press Brakes to accurately bend, shape, and form metal components in accordance with engineering specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Set up and safely operate CNC Press Brake machines to manufacture metal components to required specifications.
• Technical Compliance: Interpret and work accurately directly from engineering drawings and technical schematics.
• Material Handling: Load and unload raw materials and finished components onto and off machinery safely.
• Quality Control: Perform checks to ensure high levels of precision, accuracy, and adherence to company quality standards.
• Maintenance & Housekeeping: Conduct routine machine maintenance and ensure a clean, organised, and safe workspace.
• Production Scheduling: Follow job schedules strictly to meet production deadlines.
• Teamwork: Work independently and collaborate effectively with the wider operations team.
