Job summary

Holt Automotive Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Client Relationship Director for a leading fleet management business. As a statutory board member, you will influence governance and strategic direction while leading the Client Management function.

You will lead and develop Client Relationship Managers, retain and grow key accounts, oversee profitability and contract performance, and contribute to board decisions while driving service improvements across departments.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of a client management function within a complex B2B service business.
• Experience managing high-value contracts and senior client relationships.
• Strong record of retention, renewals and account development.
• Commercial judgement, negotiation skills and the credibility to operate at board level.
• Experience developing teams and improving customer service and operational performance.
• Fleet management, vehicle leasing or related sector experience would be particularly relevant.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Client Relationship Managers and the Head of Customer Service and Business Improvement.
• Retain and grow existing accounts through strong relationships, renewals and commercial negotiations.
• Oversee client profitability, contract performance and relationship risk.
• Resolve major escalations and drive service improvements across departments.
• Ensure clients receive proactive advice on fleet strategy, whole-life costs and sustainability.
• Oversee contract mobilisation and support tenders and client presentations.
• Contribute to board decisions, balancing client needs with commercial, operational and risk considerations.
