Job description

Equans is looking for a Project Manager to join our Digital Business on a permanent, full-time basis to deliver critical system upgrades and improvements to the Building Management System (BMS) Infrastructure for our clients in the UK.

This role involves priming sites to become Smart enabled, allowing us to introduce further value through IoT solutions, driving social, economic, and environmental benefits for the sites and their occupants.

Projects will vary in scale, from £1k to £3m, with multiple projects running concurrently within a 3-4 year rolling programme.

Key activities include:

  • Leading the delivery of BMS infrastructure upgrades across various sectors including commercial, retail, healthcare, education, and government nationwide.
  • Providing leadership, guidance, and coaching to project teams regarding project approach, activities, risks, issues, and management to ensure timely and budgeted delivery.
  • Managing stakeholder engagement, client and end-user communication, and escalation points.
  • Supervising benefits realization, project controls, milestones, and budget tracking.
  • Scheduling resources, managing project partners, and overseeing risks and change management processes.
  • Maintaining clear communication channels with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ensuring compliance with data lifecycle standards, data ethics, GDPR, ISO, etc.
  • Applying industry best practices in project management.
  • Managing projects for public sector and government clients, including contract variations and scope management.
  • Utilizing standardized project management processes.
  • Holding relevant qualifications such as APMP, APM(PMQ), Prince2, or equivalent, and recognized construction qualifications (NVQ Level 5, HNC/HND or higher).
