Position Description

As part of the growth of the Airedale by Modine Controls Department, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Tridium Controls Engineer to join the team in a BMS Commissioning Engineer role. The role offers the opportunity to gain skills in BMS commissioning, water system control, and new technologies. It provides a strong foundation for progression towards Project Management.

Key Responsibilities

• Site commissioning of controls projects and system integration (BMS/Energy Monitoring/HVAC controls/upgrade works)
• Site surveys / progress reviews
• Supervise installation subcontractors where required
• Troubleshoot site issues
• Liaise with customers and project engineers
• Customer training
• Provide technical and engineering support as needed
• Work with the controls team to increase efficiency and meet targets
• Maintain high standards of quality control
• Produce detailed reports
• Develop and maintain client relationships
• Be flexible in the types of work carried out
• Be prepared to work away from home when required
• Work overtime when necessary

Required Education & Qualifications

• Experience with Tridium Niagara 4 software and controllers
• Ability to understand and modify control strategies
• Understanding of BMS/DCIM and common communication protocols (Modbus, BACnet, TCP/IP)
• Knowledge of IT systems, servers, and communication networks
• Competent electrical knowledge and ability to interpret electrical drawings
• Logical and methodical problem-solving skills, using own initiative
• Good written and communication skills
