Zusammenfassung

NHS Blood and Transplant is seeking staff to support donor recruitment at events across shopping centres and workplaces. You will register donors, book appointments, and help run KYT events where provisional blood types are determined with training provided.

A Standard DBS check is required. Role is on an as-needed basis with variable hours, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, with travel up to 15 miles around London and no medical background required beyond customer

Qualifikationen

• Experience in customer service environment; volunteering allowed.
• Standard DBS check is mandatory.
• Willingness to travel up to 15 miles around London.

Aufgaben

• Register and book appointments for new blood donors at events.
• Set up and run Know Your Type (KYT) events with blood-typing testing.
• Provide information about donation and provisional blood type to the public.
• Record event turnout and donor registrations for reporting.
• Assist with packing away equipment and returning to base.
• Participate in basic care/first aid training.
