Job summary

Arriva TrainCare Birmingham New Street Service Centre is looking for a proactive Team Leader to supervise daily operations, ensure timely preparation and delivery of supplies, and coach team members to uphold service standards. The role requires you to live within an hour’s commute of Birmingham New Street and to travel at unsocial hours due to shift work, including weekends and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• A background in team leadership or management is required for this role.
• A background in logistics supply and basic food hygiene experience would be desirable but not essential.
• Team Leaders are expected to assess, coach and train new and existing Team Members.
• The role involves working various shifts including weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for timely preparation and delivery of supplies and equipment to CrossCountry and its clients.
• Carrying out Service Centre checks and procedures.
• Ensuring equipment is fit for purpose.
• Cleaning of CrossCountry premises and equipment at own location.
• Ensuring stock and equipment levels are maintained.
• Maintaining stock movements using correct procedures.
• Complying with company policies, safety rules and regulations.
• Communicating professionally with suppliers, customers and colleagues.
• Providing relief cover for the Service Centre Manager and at other locations.
• Roster management across short, medium and long term planning.
