Job summary

CrossCountry is seeking a Team Leader for the Birmingham Service Centre to oversee daily operations, ensure timely delivery of supplies and equipment, and coach staff to maintain high standards. The role involves shift work, weekends and bank holidays, and requires reliable travel within 1 hour of Birmingham New Street.

The successful candidate will manage centre procedures, safety compliance, and liaise with suppliers and clients to support operations and performance targets.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Willingness to work unsocial hours including weekends and bank holidays.
• Background in logistics or food hygiene desirable but not essential.
• Must live within a 1 hour commute of Birmingham New Street.

Responsibilities

• Oversee timely preparation and delivery of supplies and equipment to CrossCountry and clients.
• Carry out Service Centre checks and procedures.
• Ensure equipment is fit for purpose.
• Keep Service Centre and equipment clean and compliant with safety rules.
• Manage stock and equipment movements using correct procedures.
• Provide support and training to team members; relieve the Service Centre Manager as needed.
• Attend additional training and operate specialist equipment when trained.
• Communicate professionally with internal/external stakeholders.
