We are seeking an experienced and driven Biomedical Scientist to join our dedicated night team, in a position where your expertise, independence and clinical impact will be vital. This is an exceptional opportunity for ambitious Band 6 aspirants or for those ready to expand their experience within a highly skilled, 24/7 Blood Sciences service.
We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record of working within a busy, fully accredited Blood Sciences laboratory and who is able to remain calm, efficient and decisive on shift. You should bring substantial competence in both Haematology and Blood Transfusion, with the ability to work confidently and autonomously through complex transfusion investigations using modern laboratory systems and methods. Strong morphology skills are essential, with the expertise to independently review, interpret and report on abnormal blood films and peripheral blood parasitology to the highest standard.
Please note that for this role, we will be providing an extra £4,000 Recruitment and Retention Premium in addition to your base salary (subject to and conditions being met).

NWLP Induction
The NWLP induction will run on the first Monday of each month (provided it does not fall on a bank holiday) and includes laboratory training (for relevant laboratory roles). All new staff must attend the NWLP induction during their first week with NWLP.
