Job Description:

Full time, 2-year contract, hybrid (1 day a week in the office)

About Tagomics:

Tagomics has developed a ground-breaking multiomic biomarker discovery platform that offers a step change in genomics-based disease profiling and diagnosis.

Originating from the pivotal research of Dr. Robert Neely and his team at the University of Birmingham, Tagomics' proprietary technology unlocks DNA-based disease-associated biomarkers spanning genetic, epigenetic, and fragmentomic features. In combination with advanced bioinformatic and machine learning approaches, we provide unique biological insights, with exciting results from cancer patient samples, including blood and tissue.

  • Experience with NGS datasets (WGS, Exome sequencing, RNA-seq), including quality control, alignment, and analysis
  • Familiarity with data visualization and analysis tools
  • Proficiency in Python or R

It would be great if you had:

  • Knowledge of epigenetics datasets like ATAC-seq, ChIP-seq, WGBS, MeDIPs
  • Experience analyzing ‘omics datasets for biological insights
  • Expertise in epigenetics, cancer genomics, liquid biopsy, or biomarker discovery with relevant publications
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and bioinformatics pipelines (e.g., Nextflow)
  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms
  • Experience with variant calling packages and gene panels

Joining us early offers exposure to start-up dynamics and opportunities for personal growth. The role is hybrid (minimum 1 day/week at Granta Park, Cambridge). We offer:
