Job Description:

Exalto Consulting is currently recruiting for a contract bioinformatician for an outside IR35 contract role, offering 100% remote work with a daily rate of £300-£360 depending on experience.

The ideal candidate must have combined experience in developing and validating novel NGS pipelines using Python/R within a cloud-based orchestration environment, specifically in a clinical oncology setting.

Skills & Experience:

1. Minimum 3 years of practical experience in bioinformatics data analysis.
2. Experience analyzing Illumina NGS data.
3. Proficiency with bioinformatics tools and platforms, especially for copy number variation and whole genome sequencing data.
4. Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages for data analysis and scripting.
5. Experience with cloud computing platforms, preferably Amazon AWS.
6. Ability to automate data processing and productionize analytical workflows.
7. Strong analytical skills, particularly in accuracy and reproducibility analysis of biomarkers.
8. Experience processing biomarkers from NGS, such as Small Variants, Copy Number Variants, and Structural Variants.

Desirable: Experience with Illumina Dragen platform.
