Job Description:

Exalto Consulting is currently recruiting a contract bioinformatician for a fully remote, outside IR35 role, offering £300-£360 per day depending on experience. The position involves developing and validating novel NGS pipelines in a clinical oncology setting using Python and R, with cloud-based orchestration.

Skills & Experience:

1. Minimum 3 years of bioinformatics data analysis experience.
2. Experience analyzing Illumina NGS data.
3. Proficiency with bioinformatics tools for copy number variation and whole genome sequencing data.
4. Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages.
5. Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Amazon AWS.
6. Ability to automate workflows and productionize analytical processes.
7. Strong analytical skills focusing on accuracy and reproducibility of biomarkers.
8. Experience processing biomarkers from NGS, including Small Variants, Copy Number Variants, and Structural Variants.

Desirable: Experience with Illumina Dragen platform.
